His current scientific interest is about the physics of nanoscale structured materials, for application in photonic and nanophotonic, and the study of advanced electro-optical characterization techniques, such as femto-second optical spectroscopy and modulated spectroscopies.
Curriculum: 
Since 1999 Mauro Lomascolo (ML) is senior researcher and permanent scientific staff member of the Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems IMM-CNR (National Council of Research) unit of Lecce. In particular he is currently involved in the electro-optical and ultrafast optical characterization of III-V and II-VI semiconductor based low dimensional heterostructure for photonic and optoelectronics applications.
